Alabama's depth at linebacker is becoming a concern after the team lost another outside linebacker for a long period of time.

Head coach Nick Saban confirmed during his press conference Saturday that sophomore Chris Allen could miss the entire season after having a surgical knee injury.

"It's unfortunate that we have two of those now at the same position," Saban said. "Both of those guys would have made contributions to our team and we don't have enough depth, especially on defense, to afford to be able to lose those kinds of players."

The injury leaves Alabama with starters Christian Miller and Anfernee Jennings but very little experience beyond that. Redshirt sophomore Ben Davis and true freshmen Jarez Parks, Cameron Latu, and Eyabi Anoma are now the only depth at the position until Jamey Mosley returns from his injury next week.

This news comes on the heels of offensive lineman Matt Womack fracturing a bone in his foot that will keep him out four to six weeks.
