Alabama drivers who use the left lane for anything other than passing are breaking the law and Alabama State Troopers want motorists to move over.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says that the department can and will ticket drivers who use the left lane for for long-term travel.

Yellowhammer News points to research that confirms drivers who primarily use the fast lane can result in major traffic buildup and vigilantes who think they're helping slow down traffic are misguided. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration ranked Alabamians among the worst drivers in the country.
