Alabama couple, Mounir El-Rhazouani and Rebecca El-Rhazouani were arrested after a Daytona Shores hotel staff reached out to authorities concerned about the well being of two children.

According to witnesses, the El-Rhazouani's ignored their foster children's pleas to go inside after already being sunburned so they could continue to drink. The children were ages two and five.

Bodycam footage released to WKMG from local law enforcement show the couple drinking beer and sitting by a hotel pool as officers approached. They inform the deputies that the children are alone in the hotel room. A hotel staffer is later seen telling the officer, '"The child wanted to get out of the sun so bad that it was literally running to that door over there, screaming, trying to get into the door, and the father would not take the child inside."

Rebecca El-Rhauzouani asserted one child suffered from Eczema in an attempt to explain away the sunburn but children were found alone in the room with beer and a pocket-knife within reaching distance.

"My poor babies, oh, my gosh, my poor babies. I was going to put them to bed, I promise, I was going to get my stuff and put them to bed. Oh, my gosh," El-Rhauzouani is heard on the video. She also claims she left them there long enough to return downstairs to get their belongings.

The couple was arrested for two counts of child neglect but have posted bond.
