Avery Johnson's impact on the Alabama men's basketball program was evident by the improvement on the court in year one, but the biggest growth might have come in the form of fan support.

The NCAA released attendance figures for the 2015-16 season, and Alabama had the second-highest growth in all of college basketball. The average per game inside Coleman Coliseum rose from 10,176 to 13,110, and that increase of 2,934 fans trailed only Maryland.

The Crimson Tide's average of just over 13K fans ranked 22nd nationally as well. Kentucky led the country with 23,361 per game, while Syracuse and Louisville also surpassed 20K per game.

In the SEC, Alabama's total per game ranked fourth behind Kentucky, Arkansas (14,879), and Tennessee (14,232). The SEC as a conference had the second-highest average behind the Big Ten.

Avery Johnson's team finished with a 10-4 record at home last year and an 18-15 record overall in his first season as head coach.
