University of Alabama head baseball coach Mitch Gaspard announced Tuesday the schedule for the 2015 Crimson Tide season. UA will play a full slate of 56 games, which includes 31 at the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.

Due to the current construction going on at Sewell-Thomas Stadium, Alabama will be hosting its home games at various spots in 2015, including Mobile, Montgomery and a majority of the season’s home games in Hoover.

The schedule begins at home in the Met on Friday, Feb. 13, with a three-game series against the University of Maryland – East Shore and concludes with a three-game, home SEC battle against 2014 NCAA Champion Vanderbilt, beginning Thursday, May 14.

Alabama is coming off a 37-24 season that saw the Tide fall one game short of advancing to Super Regionals. Last season, Alabama made its 24th appearance, and fourth in the last five years, in an NCAA Regional, eventually losing in a decisive third game versus Kennesaw State in Tallahassee.

The Tide will open 2015 with three home games against the University of Maryland – Eastern Shore, from Feb. 13-15. Alabama will then take on Houston in a three-game weekend series from Feb. 20-22 before playing five consecutive home games, including a doubleheader against Savannah State (Feb. 24) and a three-game set with Louisiana-Lafayette (Feb. 27-March 1).

Alabama will once again face off with rival Auburn in a non-conference game at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery for the Capital City Classic on Tuesday, March 3. The Tide will continue barnstorming across Alabama, leaving Montgomery and heading to Mobile to take on Lipscomb at Hank Aaron Stadium, the home of the Double-A Mobile BayBears, from Friday, March 6 until Sunday March 8.

On Friday, March 13, Alabama will begin SEC play on the road, squaring off with Mississippi State from March 13-15. After a quick break from conference play, Alabama will host its first SEC home series at the Met, taking on Texas A&M from Friday, March 20 until Sunday March 22.

Alabama will host a total of five SEC home series in Hoover this season, including weekend billings against Texas A&M, LSU (April 2-4), Georgia (April 10-13), Arkansas (April 30-May 2) and Vanderbilt (May 14-16).

The Tide will hit the road for five conference road series that include Mississippi State, Florida (March 26-28), Missouri (April 17-19), Ole Miss (April 24-26) and Auburn (May 8-10).

To complete its schedule, Alabama will play in three non-conference weekend series, three doubleheaders, two games against UAB and single games against four out-of-conference opponents. The Tide will face off with Houston (Feb. 20-22), Louisiana-Lafayette and Lipscomb in three-game weekend series. Alabama will also host doubleheaders against Savannah State, Alabama A&M (March 10) and Mississippi Valley State (April 21). The Tide and UAB will square off twice, first on March 31 at Regions Park and then again on April 14 at the Hoover Met. Finally, Alabama’s schedule is spotted with single games against South Alabama (March 24), Samford (April 7), Southern Miss (April 28) and Mercer (May 12).

For the 2015 billing, Alabama will not have regular-season SEC contests with Kentucky, South Carolina and Tennessee.

The SEC Baseball Tournament will once again be held in Hoover, Ala., at the Met. The 10-team tournament will begin on Tuesday, May 19, and run through Sunday, May 24.
