Former Alabama quarterback and current Cincinnati Bengal AJ McCarron will make an appearance at Alabama baseball’s game this Friday, March 6, in Mobile. The two-time national championship quarterback with the Crimson Tide will meet with fans prior to throwing out the game’s ceremonial first pitch inside Hank Aaron Stadium, home to the Double-A Mobile BayBears.

Fans in attendance for Friday’s game will have the opportunity to meet McCarron when the gates open at 6 p.m. After his meet and greet, the former Tide signal caller will throw out the game’s ceremonial first pitch.

McCarron, the Crimson Tide’s all-time leader in career passing yards and touchdowns, led the 2011 and 2012 squads to consecutive national championships. The Mobile native collected a 36-4 record over his three years as a starting quarterback at the Capstone, on his way to being drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2014 NFL draft.

Tickets for Friday’s contest or any game during the weekend set are on sale now and can be purchased from the Mobile BayBears through their website, MobileBayBears.com, via phone at 251-479-2327, or in-person at Hank Aaron Stadium.

Fans can purchase single-game tickets or a full series package. Single game prices start at $8 per ticket and complete series packages begin at $18 for the three-game set.

Alabama and Lipscomb will square off for the third, fourth and fifth times in program history, with the Crimson Tide owning a 2-0 advantage in the all-time series. The two programs first met in 2006, with UA claiming a 15-2 victory. The second meeting came in 2008, when the Tide came away with an 8-4 win against the Bison.

The series between Alabama and Lipscomb inside Hank Aaron Stadium was made possible thanks to a joint effort between the Mobile Sports Authority and the Mobile BayBears.
