Aaron Lewis doesn't waste any time when he has new music to share with his fans. The singer wrote a brand-new tune on Saturday (Sept. 6), which he performed that very evening.

'That Ain't Country,' which name checks Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and other country music icons, is a sharp departure from the music the Vermont native used to perform. The founding member of the rock group Staind made the switch to country music in 2011 with the release of his debut country EP, 'Town Line,' followed by his first full album, 'The Road,' in 2012

“Life takes many twists and turns and it leads you places … I felt like it was the best fit for me," he explains of his switch. “I don’t really feel like the pissed off, angry young man [I was during] my Staind career."

Lewis is spending much of the next few months on the road. See all of his upcoming concerts here.
