Politics has bitterly divided the great state of Alabama; party lines have been drawn, allegiances have been made, and it seems like every time you log on to social media you're witnessing some sort of argument about which candidate deserves to be Commander in Chief. What if there were a way to unite us all? What if there were a candidate behind whom the entire state could rally? A man, a legend, the GOAT?

That man is Nick Saban, and indulge me for a minute here while we pretend Coach is running for Prez. Nicholas Lou Saban would make an excellent President, and this is an indisputable fact. Here are seven reasons why Coach Saban would be the best president ever.

1. He is an excellent leader.

Coach Saban's ability to lead is recognized far beyond Bryant-Denny. Forbes named him to their list of the 50 Greatest World Leaders earlier this year, and Coach also earned the honor of being chosen as The Most Powerful Coach in Sports in 2008. He's known for being firm but fair and valuing his players' academic success as much as their athletic ability.

2. Our nation is in dire need of The Process.

We're in the midst of some trying times, and while some candidates promise to make our country great again, what we really need is someone to inspire us to achieve greatness on our own--no one could do that better than Coach Saban. "The Process" is revered for its results on the football field and beyond--we need someone to drive us to work hard, keep working hard, and never, ever give up.

3. His attention to detail is impeccable.

Nick Saban began his life in a small town in West Virginia. His father, Nick Saban, Sr. owned a gas station and Dairy Queen, and little Nick was put to work, assisting customers with fill-ups, air pressure checks, and car washes. Nick washed cars by hand, and if he left a spot, his father made him re-wash the car until it had a streak-free shine. The lessons he learned as a young boy enabled him to become the focused and determined leader he is today.

4. He knows how to deal with idiots.

Check out the photo above; need I say more? The President of the United States has to maintain diplomatic relationships and deal with some not-so-great folks with a smile. Coach Saban has this down to an art.

5. He's charming as all get out.

JUST LOOK AT HIM. Is there anything more wonderful than the rare Nick Saban smile?

6. Mrs. Terri would be a perfect first lady.

Behind every great man is an even better woman, and in the case of Nick Saban, that woman is Mrs. Terri. She's kind, classy, and a great leader. She works tirelessly with Nick's Kids, and she's endeared herself to countless Alabama fans across the globe.

7. Despite the no-nonsense exterior, he has a big heart.

Nick Saban has bettered the lives of countless kids across the nation through his work with the Nick's Kids Foundation. Coach and Mrs. Terri started the foundation while at Michigan State University, and since then their commitment to altruism has been unwavering--to date, the Nick's Kids Foundation has distributed over SIX MILLION dollars to local non-profit organizations. Here in Tuscaloosa, Nick's Kids is helping to build the new YMCA; they've also helped to build playgrounds in places like the Tuscaloosa River Walk and the Alberta School of Performing Arts. Coach has also played a key role in helping to rebuild Tuscaloosa after the April 27, 2011 tornado; Nick's Kids has built 16 homes in Alberta with Habitat for Humanity.
