4 Star Receiver Derek Kief Commits to the Alabama Crimson Tide

Consensus 4 Star Receiver Derek Kief committed to Alabama Sunday evening via his personal website (derekkief.com) and twitter account, joining 4 star quarterback David Cornwell as Alabama's second commitment of the weekend.

Kief is a tall target, checking in at 6-foot-5 and tips the scales at 200lbs. Considered one of the best prospects in the state of Ohio, Kief selected the Crimson Tide over the Ohio State Buckeyes and Kentucky Wildcats to become Alabama's 12th commitment for the 2014 signing class.  24/7 Sports lists Offensive Coordinator Doug Nussmeier (primary) and Wide Receivers coach Billy Napier (secondary) as the coaches who recruited Kief.

Nussmeier(secondary) and Napier (primary) were also listed as the coaches responsible for the recruitment of the aforementioned David Cornwell, who committed Friday afternoon.

In his junior season at LaSalle High School in Cincinnati, the prep receiver hauled in 65 passes for 907 yards and 9 touchdowns in 10 games.
