2nd Annual Alabama Oyster Social Jan 29th in Auburn
Raw oysters are one of my favorite dishes. It doesn't get much better then a cooler full of ice and Alabama oysters ,a glove, a shucking knife and a bottle of hot sauce. The 2nd Annual Oyster Social promises phenomenal food, music and libations.
The social will also celebrate the hard work of the Oystermen and Dr. Bill Walton's crew at the Auburn University Shellfish Laboratory

Check out this short documentary. I enjoyed watching this. It's really cool to see how these farmers work so hard to ensure that we can enjoy the perfect oyster right here in Alabama.
