2016 Dirt, Sweat and Gears Trail Duathlon June 25th at Lake Lurleen

Gear up! DIRT, SWEAT & GEARS Inaugural Trail Duathlon 10-mile trail bike ride followed by a 5K at Lake Lurleen State Park in Coker on Saturday, June 25.

Dirt, Sweat & Gears will help bring healthy sports activities to young athletes through the DCH SportsMedicine Fund. Registration is 6:30 a.m. on the day of the event. There is a mandatory pre-race meeting at 7:30 a.m. The bike portion will begin at 8:00 a.m.  Bike racers will ride to the Ridge Loop Trail twice (approximately 10 miles), and then ride back to the starting area. From there, the race will continue on to the Lakeside Trail for a 5K run, and then on to the finish. See t Course Trail Map Here.

The duathlon allows team competition.

Pre Registration - Individual -$45 and Team - $80

Race Day Registration - Individual $55 and Team - $90

The Lake Lurleen State Park trail system was built and is maintained by the West Alabama Mountain Biking Association. WAMBA is also in charge of marking the course for this race.
